Never before did an option scream “afterthought” so much.

Its like a little touch of 1991 in the middle of a 2018 interior.

Such a terrible option too.

How is your girl going to sit in the middle with the stick right there?

I never understood why manuals lasted as long as they have in heavy duty work trucks.

Amazing to tow with and actually use for work. The bigger problem in the G56 was the obnoxious gear rollover and the massive derate from the factory to get a OEM clutch to live. Most people who bought one swapped the clutch and tuned it and they were great.

Is it actually easier to tow with a manual? I have only done a little towing but I would think it would be a pain in the butt to tow with a clutch.

It’s really nice with something that has that much torque on tap, plus the engine braking aspect. G56 has a really low “1st” that is actually labeled as “L” and is a huge bonus trying to get something heavy moving on soft ground.
